That’s pretty much all you need to know about fundraising. Fundraising is a relationship cycle: It starts with asking, but if that’s all you do, you won’t build a relationship — and you’ll get far fewer repeat donations.
Success comes from going through the cycle, over and over again. You can skip steps, but you’ll do better if you don’t.
And every time you go around the circle with a donor, that donor is more likely to do it again. And do it bigger.
